Terms & Conditions

Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the professional relationship and trade transactions between Ikayaa Food Products and our global procurement partners. By accessing our website, requesting a quote, or entering into a trade agreement, you acknowledge and accept the following standards of operation.

Quotations and Price Volatility

Because agricultural commodities (such as Rice, Spices, and Edible Oils) are subject to daily market fluctuations:

  • Validity: All formal price quotations are valid for a period of 7 calendar days from the date of issuance unless otherwise specified.
  • Currency: Standard pricing is provided in USD or Euro to facilitate international trade.
  • Taxes: Quoted prices exclude any import duties, destination taxes, or local clearing charges applicable in the buyer’s country.

Shipping and Incoterms

All international shipments are executed under Incoterms 2020 standards to ensure clarity on risk and cost:

  • FOB (Free On Board): Our responsibility concludes once the goods are loaded onto the vessel at the Indian port of origin.
  • CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight): We manage the ocean freight and marine insurance to your designated destination port.
  • Logistics: While we prioritize punctuality, we are not liable for delays caused by shipping lines, port congestion, or carrier schedule changes.

Payment Protocols

To maintain a secure and efficient supply chain, we adhere to the following payment structures:

  • Advance Deposit: A 30% advance payment via SWIFT transfer is required to initiate processing and packaging.
  • Balance Payment: The remaining 70% balance is due against scanned copies of the Bill of Lading (B/L) and shipping documents.
  • Letter of Credit: We accept Irrevocable Letters of Credit (L/C) at Sight, issued by prime international banks, subject to our bank’s approval.

Quality Assurance and Claims

  • Compliance: All products meet FSSAI, ISO 22000, and MRL (Maximum Residue Limit) export standards.
  • Inspections: Buyers may appoint third-party agencies (such as SGS or Intertek) to verify quality and weight at the loading port at the buyer’s expense.
  • Discrepancies: Any claims regarding quality must be submitted with a formal surveyor’s report within 7 days of the shipment’s arrival at the destination port.

Force Majeure

Ikayaa Food Products shall not be held liable for failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, government-imposed export bans, strikes, or pandemics.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising from these transactions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
